Replaces 1,750 cotton pads
1,750+ uses across 7 rounds. Made from natural cotton and wood fibres — compostable at the end of their life.
Pays for itself quickly
Cotton pads add up. One set of LastRound covers years of daily use at a fraction of what you’d spend on disposables.
Works with your routine
Micellar water, toner, oil cleansers — whatever you already use. Laundry bag included.
Why make the switch
LastRound is a set of seven reusable makeup pads designed to replace 1,750 single-use cotton pads. Each pad is 30% cotton and 70% wood fibre — soft, absorbent, and compatible with micellar water, toner, oil cleansers, and serums. Machine washable to 60°C using the included mesh laundry bag; each round lasts approximately 250 wash cycles. One side is textured terrycloth for light exfoliation, the other is smooth for applying liquids. The cotton-and-wood-fibre construction is compostable at end of life. Over its lifetime, a single set replaces 1,750 pads that would otherwise go to landfill. LastRound is designed in Copenhagen, Denmark by LastObject ApS — the makers of LastSwab and LastTissue — and backed by more than 9,000 supporters on Indiegogo. No plastic components; packaging is FSC-certified cardboard.

Everything about LastSwab.
Is LastSwab actually hygienic?
Yes. LastSwab’s tip is made from TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) — a non-porous material used in surgical instruments and implantable devices. Unlike cotton fibres, which trap bacteria in the fibre matrix between uses, silicone has no porosity for bacteria to colonise. Rinse with soap and water after each use and it is ready again in seconds. Independent testing confirms compliance with EU cosmetic applicator safety standards.
How many swabs does LastSwab replace?
LastSwab is designed to replace 1,000+ single-use cotton swabs over its lifetime. With one swab per day, that is nearly three years from a single purchase. Our independent ISO 14040/14044 Life Cycle Assessment confirms an 8.3× lower environmental impact than the equivalent number of disposable swabs — across CO² emissions, water use, and energy. What is the difference between Original and Beauty?
LastSwab Original has a standard double-ended tip for everyday cleaning: ears, detail work, applying ointments, electronics. LastSwab Beauty has a pointed precision tip on one end and a flat applicator on the other — designed for makeup application, nail art, and precise touch-ups. Both use TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) and come with the same travel case.
Is LastSwab safe to use in ears?
Yes, with the same common-sense precautions as any cotton swab. The TPE tip is flexible and gentle. Standard ENT guidance applies: clean the outer ear only — never insert any swab deep into the ear canal. LastSwab Baby is specifically designed with a shorter stem and smaller tip appropriate for infants and young children.
How does LastSwab compare to bamboo swabs?
Both are plastic-free alternatives to standard cotton swabs. The key difference: bamboo swabs are still single-use — you still discard 365 per year. LastSwab replaces all of them. LastSwab’s TPE tip is non-porous (bacteria cannot embed in fibres), it includes a travel case, and it is the only reusable swab with a published, independent ISO Life Cycle Assessment. Bamboo is a better single-use option than plastic; LastSwab eliminates single-use entirely. Full comparison table →
Is LastSwab safe for children?
LastSwab Original and Beauty are designed for adult use. LastSwab Baby is specifically designed with a shorter stem and softer, smaller tip appropriate for infant and child care.
Can I use the same LastSwab for makeup and ears?
We recommend keeping separate swabs for different uses — the same way you would not share a makeup brush between different purposes. LastSwab Original (general cleaning, ears) and LastSwab Beauty (makeup, precision) are designed for their respective uses and sold separately, each in a labelled carrying case.
What happens if it wears out?
LastSwab comes with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. In normal use, the TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) tip is very durable and does not degrade with repeated washing. If you ever notice changes in tip texture or performance, contact our team — we stand behind the product and would rather replace a LastSwab than have you return to single-use.
